This portfolio showcases a collection of my work in audio production, sound design, and various media projects. Each piece highlights my interest with how sound influences our perceptions, tells stories, and creates emotional experiences. Although my roots are in studio production, these projects mark a transition towards a more thoughtful and context-focused approach to sound design.
YOOS

“YOOS” is an audiovisual exploration of Osoyoos, British Columbia, looking at the area as both a physical space and a collection of memories. The piece captures the feelings of stillness, openness, and remoteness through sound, prioritizing atmosphere over storytelling. I approached this project with a focus on restraint, letting the textures and spaces convey emotional depth. The score is designed to express what the visuals alone can’t fully communicate.

For “Move With Your Life,” I aimed to create a warm and inviting listening space that encourages open conversations about growth and well-being. The sound design focuses on warmth and presence, steering clear of over-processing to maintain authenticity. I also composed original music that captures the show’s optimistic and forward-looking vibe. The outcome is a grounded and supportive sonic identity.

Sound and image exploring technological acceleration

This collage film follows the journey of technology, starting from early personal computers and moving to advanced robotics. I took charge of editing the visuals and composing the original score, crafting the music to reflect the shift from technological optimism to a sense of unease. Throughout the piece, there’s an edited recording of Marshall McLuhan, featuring the repeated phrase “Push a Button & the World Is Yours,” which serves as both a promise and a caution. The work delves into themes of control, acceleration, and the consequences of our technological choices through sound.

“First Frequencies” is a podcast concept that dives into important sounds from history and culture. Each episode focuses on a specific sound, placing it in its historical and social context to show how it has influenced human experience. With crafted sound design and recreated environments, the project aims to take listeners beyond just explanations and into a truly immersive experience. The goal is to help people hear history rather than just learn about it.
SCHOOL OF IRISH STUDIES PODCAST

Focus: Capturing live lectures with clarity while preserving room acoustics

For the School of Irish Studies, I recorded and produced a series of live academic lectures, managing both the on-site audio and the full post-production process. My main goal was to make each lecture clear and intelligible while still keeping the feeling of being in the room. Rather than removing all ambient sound, I preserved some of the natural acoustics to give the recordings a sense of space and realism. The final mixes are polished and precise, but still feel authentic to the live setting.

“Meridian” is an original coming-of-age audiobook about identity, belonging and self-discovery. I created the project from start to finish myself, including the writing, narration, sound design and final mastering. Each chapter begins with environmental sounds that help set the mood and place the listener in the world of the story. The sound design is there to support the narrator’s inner life in a subtle, emotional way.
THE IRISH ELK

“The Irish Elk” is a spoken word piece built from layered field recordings and live instrumentation. The poem explores a connection between toxic masculinity and extinction, with the soundscape helping to carry that idea emotionally. I kept the atmosphere restrained but tense, using environmental textures and original music to build pressure beneath the words. The metaphor develops through both the language and the sound.
JE SUIS

“Je Suis” is an experimental piece made entirely from recorded vocal sounds. Using my voice as the only source material, I manipulated and layered it to build rhythm, texture and a percussive foundation. A collaborator performs a short spoken text over that vocal-based sound world. The piece explores the voice not just as language, but as sound in its own right.
A VASE OF FRESH FLOWERS

“A Vase of Fresh Flowers” draws on organic sound and traditional folk influences. I combined live instrumentation with subtle natural ambience to create a warm, grounded sonic space. The production stays fairly minimal, letting real instruments and unpolished textures support the honesty of the vocal. The focus is on intimacy rather than spectacle.

This composition blends analog instruments and virtual synthesizers to express a sense of emotional restlessness. I experimented with recording and mixing techniques to create a sound that feels reflective but slightly unsettled. Alongside the atmosphere and texture, I focused on strong melodic hooks to give the piece a clear center. The result balances introspection with immediacy.
FLORA

“Flora” is a short-form composition built around immediacy and physical energy. The track leans on rhythm, texture and momentum to create a strong sense of release. Rather than developing slowly, it’s meant to hit instinctively and be felt in the body. The piece is designed to invite movement and a shared sense of experience.
EVN AUDIO SONIC BRANDING

Focus: Creating a distinctive and memorable sonic identity

This sonic branding piece was designed to feel immediate while still having a sense of scale. It opens with a simple motif that gradually builds into a bright, energetic peak before fading out smoothly. Pulsing synth plucks sit at the centre of the sound, giving it both rhythmic definition and a clear tonal identity. The aim was to create something distinctive and memorable in a very short space of time.
